Police: At least 1 person injured after crash in Hamilton

Multiple vehicles involved in collision on Upper James Street

Emergency crews were called to the scene of a crash involving multiple vehicles in Hamilton on Friday evening.

According to police, the collision occurred on Upper James Street between Mohawk Road East and Fennell Avenue East at approximately 6:30 p.m.

Police say that at least one person was injured in the crash, but the extent of their injuries is not yet known.

The cause of the collision is still under investigation.

Road closures in effect

Upper James Street is closed in both directions between Mohawk Road East and Fennell Avenue East as a result of the crash.

Motorists are being advised to avoid the area and find alternate routes.
